Last week, new research was unveiled that brought the development of a male contraceptive pill one small step closer, over 20 years after scientists first began examining the issue.
US researchers have identified mutations in the CATSPER1 gene, which codes for the protein that determines sperm movement. They hope their work will lead to both treatments for infertility and to the development of a male contraceptive.
